Payment Status

At the end of each business day, we'll automatically initiate an ACH transfer from your primary funding source to pay your outstanding balance. When you initiate a repayment of your balance (either manual or automatic), we'll give you credit immediately for that payment so that you can continue to spend from your daily limit. However, you may notice some payments will have various statuses. Below is a guide on what these statuses indicate.

Zena statement periods are midnight UTC to midnight UTC.

Status Description
Pending The repayment and associated payment have been created but have not yet been transmitted to the ACH network. The status will change to clearing once the payment is transmitted to the ACH network.
Pending Review The ACH debit payment has been sent for manual review in cases of elevated fraud risk. Please contact Zena Member Support for more information.
Clearing The funds have been debited and are now in clearing.
Sent The funds have been cleared and released. The balance has been updated.
Returned The bank from which the funds were pulled has returned the ACH payment. The funds have been returned, and the Zena spend balance has been updated.
Rejected The repayment has been rejected, either because the amount exceeds the balance of the amount within the connected bank account or because the ACH has been rejected. Please contact Zena Member Support for more information.
Canceled The ACH payment has been canceled. Please contact Zena Member Support for more information.
